Diaries, manuscript poems, college notebooks and lecture notes from his time at Columbia, miscellaneous notebooks, 1847-1888 (bulk 1854-1867). They include a notebook listing books owned by Ward's brother, Charles H. Ward, dated 1847; a pocket address book, dating from the 1860s; a recipe book; nine volumes of Ward's diaries, dating from 1854, 1858-1859, 1860-1861, 1864-1865, 1867; a diary kept by Mrs. Ward in 1875; five volumes of manuscript poems, one dated 1883-1884, another dated 1888; seven volumes of college notebooks and lecture notes, dating from 1858-1859, and 1863-1864.
